Ongoing business
PyCharm & Django Annual Fundraiser
- The 2026 “Buy PyCharm, Support Django” annual fundraising campaign, in partnership with JetBrains, has been launched.
- The campaign has raised at least USD 9,000 to date, with final figures pending confirmation.
- A second fundraising initiative is planned in coordination with DjangoCon US.
Django Developer Survey 2026
- The 2026 Django Developer Survey has been published and is currently open for responses.

Translation Partnership Discussions
- Jeff Triplett and Sarah Boyce are in discussions with Weblate regarding a potential partnership to support Django translation management efforts.
- Discussions are based on prior forum conversations and related communications shared with the Board.
PyCon US 2026 Representation
- The Django Software Foundation (DSF), Djangonaut Space, and DjangoCon US jointly participated at PyCon US with a shared booth presence.
- Django maintained a strong overall presence throughout the event.
- Highlights included a Djangonaut Space keynote presentation and participation from Paolo Melchiorre as a speaker.
DSF Code of Conduct Update for Affiliated Programs and Communities
- Priya Pahwa presented the proposal from the Django Code of Conduct Working Group regarding affiliated programs and communities.
- Proposed Motion: The Django Code of Conduct Working Group may serve as an escalation point for affiliated Django programs, including Djangonaut Space, that maintain their own Code of Conduct processes and identify the Working Group as an escalation resource in their procedures, as described in the Pull Request 106
- The Board approved the proposed motion.
New business
Proposal for Bylaws Changes
- Tom Carrick presented a proposal concerning bylaw changes related to voting members.
- Next steps include sharing the proposal publicly on the Django Forum for broader feedback followed by Board discussions.
EuroPython 2026 Invitation
- The DSF has received an invitation to participate in EuroPython 2026.
- The invitation includes:
- Two in-person conference passes
- Two remote participation passes
- Access to the Community Organisers Summit
- Participation opportunities at the OSS Communities Tables
- Board members discussed potential interest and availability for attendance and representation.
Action items
- Mostly internal follow-up items and coordination tasks were identified during the meeting.
- Abigail Afi Gbadago to explore whether there is an existing coordination or communication channel for PSF and DSF sync discussions.
