CLA vs. DCO for Django contributors

• Ongoing, to make a decision next year

Django as a CNA

• Natalia Bidart and Thibaud Colas working on a blog post
• Thibaud and Sarah Abderemane are currently the points of contact at the DSF
• Proposal: Thibaud and Sarah work on this until re-chartered security team can take over
  • Vote approved

Trademark renewal

• Next step: meeting with paralegal lead
• Needs to happen before July
• Plan to assign an owner next meeting

2026 Board elections planning

• Elections turnout & members’ activity
• Thibaud has been collecting feedback on the forum
• Barely made 50% - something to fix for next year
• Thibaud has written excellent docs on running an election - a lot to reuse next year
• Last step is handover which Thibaud will work through with ops team after the meeting and board seat elections

Website redesign

• Marketing working group proposal
• There’s a clear proposal and next steps now
• Meeting next week
• Planning site usage analytics

AI team for Django

• Minor progress to date, likely not much until after the new year - no blockers, just slow time of year

Django 6.0 release

• Hooray!

New business

AI coding subscription for DSF

• Reached out to Anthropic based on current request and Claude for Nonprofits offer

HackerOne vulnerability reports AI spam

• Incommensurate amount of time on security reports
• Plan to trial GitHub’s security vulnerability reporting tools as an alternative with no financial incentives

Contract Template - Fellow

Technical governance re-charter from Steering Council

• A replacement for DEPs 10 and 12

DSF Working Groups

• Need to replace board liasons for outgoing board members

• Voted unanimously to confirm 2026 DSF Board elections
